At Ngwenya Glass, you can observe skilled glassblowers using recycled glass to create animal figurines and dishware with African themes. The factory started out as a Swedish aid project that attempted to motivate unemployed young people by getting them interested in the art of glass blowing. Today, the business is owned by an unusual group of entrepreneurs--a farmer, an ex-librarian and a marine engineer. Amenities include a cafe, a chocolate shop, and a kids’ play area in the garden. Ngwenya Glass is just one of the many highlights you can arrange to see using our , online itinerary creator Edition.

Glass factory is amazing. Love that they show you how they make the glass and ornaments. Small shops around gives tourist vibe. Very nice chocolate shop and other bits and bobs. Peacocks roaming around gives it a peaceful atmosphere. Glass bit pricy fir local shopping. Little restaurants serves amazing food. Milkshakes just took too long and waiter confuzed orders with other tables.
Had lunch here, delicious meals at a nice location (inside or at terrace under a roof) accompanied by several peacocks walking around outside.
Ngwenya glass is situated in a safe environment.. There is a nice place to eat and have a drink.. You can also do take outs. There is never a wait here. There is a wonderful view just across. There are shops to buy traditional swazi outfits and also crafted animals.. There is a nice chocolate place there and also a neat toilet for the public.. Its nice to visit with friends. The services rendered are of quality and efficient. The tour around the glass factory is very informative.
Wonderful stuff from Ngwenya Glass Factory. We've bought many things here and often bringing visitors who love to see all the unique things they make. Visiting on a week day (if possible) is especially fun as you can see the employees making things from glass. There are also other craft shops here that are worth checking out, and a cafe that is surprisingly good.
Made a special engraving request via email a few days before visiting the factory. Request was executed professionally and completed during my visit. Many thanks to Chas, Gary and the friendly staff
