  • I was afraid to walk across it so I didn't. It was neat to see, but felt a bit eerie. Still was a must see.  more »
  • Besides the name, exciting the imagination in this bridge there is nothing outstanding either in architecture, nor in history. Even no exact explanation for why this is common in general construction received a "helluva" status. Whether due to author's name Mantojfelja ideas (der Mann, der Teufel man-Devil) whether due to proximity to the bridge of angelic, whether because of predecessor-wooden shatajushhegosja bridge. Fictitious attraction increasing imagination in a very quiet, peaceful and totally not devilish Tartu.

  • Looking for information about its name, very many versions. Perhaps the name appeared as opposed to close before Angelic bridge. There is speculation that Devil's bridge was named for the resemblance to the famous proslavivshim, Suvorov, Devil's bridge, which is located in the Swiss Alps. Well, maybe such a strange name associated with the surname Professor Cjoge von Mantejfelja, initiating construction. His surname translated from German means "hell." But I would like to hear more "terrible" story, for example about negligent students who on it or under it penalized;)

  • It's a menacing and cool looking bridge during the night. The lighting has been done nicely. The access to the top of the bridge is only on one side of the bridge which would be more obvious if there weren't two more staircases leading nowhere on the other side of the bridge. What's up with that?
  • A black stone bridge built in 1913 to commemorate the 300th anniversary of the Romanov Dynasty of Russian Czars. It's still in its place where people walk more under it than over it.
  • Historic and the opposite style to Inglisild.

  • These 2 bridge should know every tourist and resident of Tartu.

  • Made of stone and a bit of a tired-looking, but the särtsakam is located in the vicinity of Inglisild.
