  • Monument to Johan Skitte (Schütte), founder and Rector (Chancellor-Swedish terminology) and Uppsala University of Tartu is made in a very original manner in print. The author of the idea and the monument is an Estonian sculptor is Tiiu Kirsipuu. At the unveiling ceremony, timed to coincide with the anniversary of the University of Tartu 375 competed Swedish Queen Silvia. This monument, along with other monuments of the Swedish Kings shows not very consistent policy of Estonia in respect of national memory. Some monuments of "bad" invaders demolished (Tallinn), and monuments of "good" invaders pose. Turns out not fighting for freedom and independence of the motherland, and the selection of "good" ...

  • It is the imitation of a rubber seal but in stainless steel and big. Located in the gardens in front of one of the buildings of the University.
