  • Great science park in the centre of Tartu! Interesting entertainment, fresh and fun, until April 2018 there is very cool extra exhibition about winter sports - kids can try skiing, downhill skiing and...  more »
  • A great place to visit with kids. I was alone and regretted. Scientific and Entertainment Centre for the whole family. I personally always try to attend this kind of place. There are inscriptions in Russian and English. Interactive exhibition on the theme was winter sports. Superb for children. The entry, for adults, €13 children like cheaper. 2-3 hours to spend with the children have nothing to do. If already in Tartu, definitely worth a visit!

  • Even though I felt like back to elementary school, it was fun, though, the directions pointing what's were ( besides where is the restroom ) would have been useful
  • This place is definitely worth a visit. Science principles are very well explained with hands on examples. There is also a really cool exhibit on human anatomy. 13eur per adult. Totally worth it.
  • Great fun and learning blended together. Be sure to take nothing with you as some of the exhibits will literally turn you upside down (The space training or fighter plane simulators) and other will drop you from a height. This is the best science park I have ever been to.
  • Great fun! Good for adults and kids - no age restrictions apply :) staff speak multiple languages. There is a lovely café inside. Great place for a day out!
  • Very interesting! Reminds me of the Rajiv Gandhi science centre in Mauritius!

Where to stay in Tartu

As a university town, Tartu can get rowdy in the evenings. To ensure a quiet night's stay, look for more economical lodging outside of the center. That said, if you want to be in the thick of the nightlife, the center itself has quite a few budget accommodations catering to the youthful population. Unfortunately, this also means that those looking for luxury hotels in this area may be more hard-pressed. The most populous neighborhood in the city is Annelinn, bordering the Emajogi River, where you will find a variety of accommodations. Alternatively, Kesklinn, a smaller quarter, has plenty of mid-range hotels and budget guesthouses.
