Walk through Viru Square and take a step back in time. Built in the 14th century, the gate's twin towers were once part of a complex fortification system that protected the bustling trading heart of Tallinn. Most of the walls are gone, but the towers stand as a proud monument to the city's history and mark a gateway between its modern center and the old town. In the vicinity of the gate is a great selection of cafes, restaurants, and shops where you can buy souvenirs. When flowers are in bloom, colorful stalls full of them add a special touch to the gate. The gate is a great starting point for a tour of the historic center of Tallinn on foot or by catching a romantic ride on a horse-drawn carriage. • This is the square in front of the entrance on the East side of the old town, Ville gate. Has orange roof tower was sandwiched between the gate and the florist hits. Forward Ville Street from the square, and I get to the Town Hall square of the old town. Square was crowded much frequented by people.

  • The square of the virus is right at the entrance to the old town for its gates. The typical place full of shops and cafés, is more busy than the other streets of the old town.
