Create an itinerary including Tallinna Raekoja Plats
Surrounded by shops, restaurants, historical buildings, and its namesake structure, Tallinna Raekoja Plats is one of the focal points for activity and culture in Tallinn. Dating to the early 15th century, the square features a number of Gothic-style architectural gems and streets that branch out from the center, leading to hidden courtyards, secluded gardens, and cobbled alleys. The town hall showcases arched doorways and a 64 m (210 ft) tall tower. You'll often find a great deal of activity in the square, ranging from performers to souvenir stalls; in fact, local legend has it that the world's first Christmas tree was raised here in 1441. Watch for the circular "compass" tile in the square, from where you can see Tallinn's spires rising above the tops of the surrounding buildings. • Place is very beautiful and historic, clean and less crowded. There are a lot of restaurants and bars where you can have national meal and drinks.

  • Located in the middle of the picturesque old town of Tallinn. Beautiful, clean, lots of good venues around. A must go
  • The centre of Tallinn old town. Definitely a place to visit & many events are held there including the Christmas market & medieval weekend. Good eating venues but be prepared to pay for the location. The little pancake stall at the north end is particularly recommended.
  • Good place to see if you're in Tallinn. There are some decent food options and other shops nearby.
  • Old Town in Tallinn, specially at Christmas, is like a fairy tail. Every year in December there is beautiful Christmas tree is the center of Raekoja square with magical Christmas market, where is possible to buy handcrafted and special presents for the loved ones or even to yourself ;) And dont forget the warm and tasty glögg. If you don´t know what it is, than come and visit Tallinn and try. welcome to Estonia!
  • Town hall in Tallinn is great. A lot of space, nice buildings and really cool place to have a beer and a pie just below the tower :)
