Tallinn Town Hall, Tallinn

(4.5/5 based on 750+ reviews on the web)
Gothic architectural style defines Tallinn Town Hall, a 15th-century building with a 64 m (210 ft) tall tower crowned by "Old Thomas," a weather vane that has come to serve as a symbol of Tallinn. Explore the network of rooms within, complete with decorative pillars, arched ceilings, and fireplaces, and take in the setting that saw many of the city council's most important decisions. You can climb the 115 steps up to the tower's belfry, from where you'll get a sweeping view of the square below and the city's many spires. Keep in mind that public access to the building varies by season, so be sure to check the website to ensure it's open. Plan your visit to Tallinn Town Hall and a wealth of other attractions, well-known and undiscovered, using our Tallinn trip builder.

  • A place which preserves the spirit of the times, when aborigines were running through the swamps and upravlajali the white people. Quality furniture since the burden ... further on;.

  • The power of the middle ages in all its manifestations, as well as all on this area. Interesting, but the Tower will ever visit? Was twice in this city with a large gap, fails ...! For the first time tour guide said that open are collected, but apparently everything does.

  • The building of city administration of medieval Revel. On the Tower of the Town Hall installed Weathercock, which citizens became known as Old Thomas. Medieval building is very well preserved and you can admire the look and touch of history.

  • Nice ancient building in the middle of the old town. During weekends there is a nice souvenir market in the square just next to it. Maybe not worth paying for going in the tower. Go to St Olaf church instead.
  • Beautiful and historical place to go.Must visit. In Old town
  • Beautiful town hall building with a town square all around it. Lots of patios around the square however they are a tourist trap and over price. You are better to walk a block away from the square.
  • A great square to have a look and take some pictures. The restaurants I do recommend to find on nearby streets.
  • Interesting building the view from the top is good.
