Tallinn Town Hall, Tallinn
(4.5/5 based on 750+ reviews on the web)
Gothic architectural style defines Tallinn Town Hall, a 15th-century building with a 64 m (210 ft) tall tower crowned by "Old Thomas," a weather vane that has come to serve as a symbol of Tallinn. Explore the network of rooms within, complete with decorative pillars, arched ceilings, and fireplaces, and take in the setting that saw many of the city council's most important decisions. You can climb the 115 steps up to the tower's belfry, from where you'll get a sweeping view of the square below and the city's many spires. Keep in mind that public access to the building varies by season, so be sure to check the website to ensure it's open. Plan your visit to Tallinn Town Hall and a wealth of other attractions, well-known and undiscovered, using our Tallinn trip builder.

  • Specially awesome during christmas time, beautifully decorated! A lively atmosphere in a backdrop of snow..
  • This is a prominent building in Town Hall Square. Great picture backgrounds. We did not see that it was open the day in September that we were there. It could have been but we did not see any open doo...  more »
  • We took Moose soup for breakfast. Lingonberry juice and meat pie. Fits in well with the traveler's stories. The thick stone walls and almost 1300 century kaataneen Castle-maiden, I felt the beers in clay karahviimme ... A wonderful serene atmosphere. Too bad that keep the home to go to.

  • Nice ancient building in the middle of the old town. During weekends there is a nice souvenir market in the square just next to it. Maybe not worth paying for going in the tower. Go to St Olaf church instead.
  • Beautiful and historical place to go.Must visit. In Old town
  • Beautiful town hall building with a town square all around it. Lots of patios around the square however they are a tourist trap and over price. You are better to walk a block away from the square.
  • A great square to have a look and take some pictures. The restaurants I do recommend to find on nearby streets.
  • Interesting building the view from the top is good.
