Gothic architectural style defines Tallinn Town Hall, a 15th-century building with a 64 m (210 ft) tall tower crowned by "Old Thomas," a weather vane that has come to serve as a symbol of Tallinn. Explore the network of rooms within, complete with decorative pillars, arched ceilings, and fireplaces, and take in the setting that saw many of the city council's most important decisions. You can climb the 115 steps up to the tower's belfry, from where you'll get a sweeping view of the square below and the city's many spires. Keep in mind that public access to the building varies by season, so be sure to check the website to ensure it's open. • The Town Hall is one of the few Gothic buildings of Northern Europe who arrived so well preserved to our days. The building dates from the mid-14th century, but in the following century interventions were made to look atyuale. The 61.5-metre high tower dominates the town and can be seen from different points of the same. Inside there is a small museum, can be visited for a fee, from the first floor where the State rooms. Meets for the civic Assembly Hall; then it goes in the boardroom that was also used by the Supreme Court. You visit then the study of burgomaster that dates back to the 15th century. Finally, through a spiral staircase to the attic where they kept other artifacts (not many, actually). From there you can enjoy a good show out of part of the city.

  • Beautiful town hall building with a town square all around it. Lots of patios around the square however they are a tourist trap and over price. You are better to walk a block away from the square.
  • Great spot to appreciate 360° old town architecture 🙌 if you can get here in the early morning or late afternoon/night, the crowds are hectic during the day, specially lunch.
