  • Our "Soviet" guide took us here. He told us stories relating to the place - very interesting insight into local history.  more »
  • Memorial function does not perform for a long time. However, a good view from the top platform of the sea and the city. Can be combined with a visit to the historical Museum, which is next door and soon the opening of the Museum of cinema. It looks like soon Hill develop elite homes, view Royal, and because no one breaking Spears Memorial will not. So hurry, things change very quickly!

  • Wery "russian" large, rough and naked. Worth a visit if you drive along the bay. The memorial was partly closed due to poor maintenance.  more »

  • Great coastal views. Restricted access due to some casualties with the deteriorating structure. Ask the locals about it's history.
  • Maarjamäe Memorial is partially closed now due to risk of collapsing and other accidents. Memorial itself has a dark history or mass graves and destruction of graves and exhuming bodies. Russian Red army had buried there and German (Nazi) army dug them out and took unknown location and once Estonia was under Soviet ruling Russians destroyed the German/Estonian graves on that location and built this Maarjamäe memorial for "all who fought for Estonian freedom". Since to Estonians there was no freedom in Soviet union this memorial does not mean that to us so it has turned into ruins. Plan is to soon build an actual memorial for Estonians who died as victims of communism in Estonia and outside of it (those who were deported to Siberia) and whose graves to this day have remained unknown.
  • Good view and nothing more. Old and dangerous.
  • Interesting. Bit run down. Pity there's little information about it. If you have nice weather it makes for a nice walk. Good views of the coastline.
  • This is old memorials about ice travelling the ship's at 1925 year
