Long Boot (Pikk Jalg), Tallinn

4.3
#65 of 224 in Things to do in Tallinn
Have a walk along the narrow cobblestone road of Long Boot (Pikk Jalg), the oldest street in the city. Situated among tall ramparts of former forts, medieval warehouses, and churches, this steep street features small cafes, souvenir shops, and artists lining the fortress walls selling their wares. The street eventually leads you to a 14th-century gate, once an entrance to the lower town. Grab a coffee and purchase paintings from some of the artists, or admire the old fortification and snap photos of the heavy iron gates and spired rooftops. Be sure to wear comfortable shoes for walking this uneven road. Arrange to visit Long Boot (Pikk Jalg) and other attractions in Tallinn using our Tallinn trip itinerary builder.

It was probably got this cobbled slope from the top of a hill, down the quaint way. Buy a painting on each side is stone masonry, some artists selling paintings and drew up the slope from the women's.

Street smoother tilt to climb to Toompea. Due to the existence of these two streets, is said jokingly that Tallinn is the city of a cripple
