Holy Spirit Church, Tallinn
(4.3/5 based on 240+ reviews on the web)
Displaying a blend of architectural styles, Holy Spirit Church houses a famous 17th-century clock, which is one of the most popular historical sites in the city. The angular, gabled facade, and unusual octagonal tower, showcase some of the church's numerous modifications since its construction in the 1200s. As you wander the aisles and naves, admire the wealth of religious artwork, including 15th-century painted panels, depictions of Biblical scenes, and a memorial to British soldiers who fought in the Baltic during World War I. Keep an eye out for the diverse building techniques, such as the Gothic-style windows and vaulted ceilings. Don't forget to visit the iconic clock, which is ornately carved and decorated. • Whew hozhu, brozhu, gulyayu, run by on the streets of such native and beloved city, and then a lovely Marina Dunaeva reveals to me the old doors in a new space of art, and I'm on a time machine the interesting history of open for yourself the greatness of the ancient church organ, the splendor of centuries-old sacred altar, the beauty of stained glass, and, once again, I sincerely wonder how much I still don't know how much I haven't seen in his hometown, and how wonderful that I have the opportunity to discover Tallinn again and again! Thank you Marina Dunaevu for a great author's program and tour!

  • The Interior of the Church is rather modest, but there is a chance to feel it differently. In the temple on Monday in 18:00 organ concert is held. We walked to the statement made by the organist Olga Gams. Some works were accompanied by a violin. People were a little, you can select both bottom and side boxes. Entrance is free of charge. Donations for the benefit of a musical work are welcome. I recorded the next performances at the year 2016. 7 November. Body and tenor. 31 October. Chamber Choir of the Church of the Holy Spirit. 7 November. Organ and Chamber Choir of the Church of the Holy Spirit. 14 November. Organ, violin and viola. 21 and 28 November. Organ.

  • Get ready to climb some stairs and then be blown away by the views up on top. This is a beautiful church in the middle of Old Town. Just 3 Euro to go up.
