Marvel at the medieval architecture and explore one of Tallinn's important historic sites at Great Guild Hall. A prime example of Gothic style, the building dates back to the early 15th century--it served as the center of the city's guild of merchants and artisans. Today, the hall is fully restored and houses the Estonian History Museum. The permanent exhibit showcases the city's and country's history as well as the cultural heritage of the Estonian people. You can stroll through the chambers once frequented by Tallinn's wealthy traders, see historical artifacts, take part in many interactive educational activities, or shop for souvenirs. The admission fee includes an audio guide, and you can make a reservation ahead of time if you want a guided tour.
