Discover Estonia's significant seafaring history at Estonian Maritime Museum. The museum is housed in Fat Margaret, a Tallinn defensive tower built in the 16th century as the largest part of the city's fortifications. Exhibits focus on different aspects of Estonia's relationship with the sea, including ship building, shipping, and the lighthouse industry. • A great place to visit, the Maritime Museum in an old tower stonework gives its special atmosphere. Even the female will be something to look at, very accessible description of all exhibits, there's a chance to climb to the top of the tower and see the rooftops of the city.

  • And arrive in Tallinn by ferry, entering through the gate on the north side of the old town and just said "fat Margaret" had a unique Tower. Cute is certainly compared to the other tower was wide, rounded feel. Currently used as a Maritime Museum.

  • Good museum. Has interesting facts about the old city and a history of the tower in which the museum is placed. From the rooftop you can make a nice panoramic photo.
  • One of the best museums I visited, highly recommend! One can get inside a real submarine!
  • Very interesting when you want to see ships or Suur Töll you must go to Lennusadam a bit more than 1km super there.
  • Quite interesting, you can also climb to the roof and the view is great.
  • Kind of boring unless you're into ships. Also not very baby friendly - can't walk around with baby stroller and doesn't even have place to leave it.
