Discover Estonia's significant seafaring history at Estonian Maritime Museum. The museum is housed in Fat Margaret, a Tallinn defensive tower built in the 16th century as the largest part of the city's fortifications. Exhibits focus on different aspects of Estonia's relationship with the sea, including ship building, shipping, and the lighthouse industry. Climb to the top of Fat Margaret for a sweeping view of the old city and Tallinn harbor. Don't miss the outdoor display of historical ship anchors in the courtyard. • veru interesting maritme museum, there a a few hands on objet's but limited a wonderfull collection of artefacts, have a look at the tower structure and go onto the roof for the views

  • A very interesting museum covering a period of time from the Vikings to current day. Lots of models of ships and items that have been recovered from wrecks. Nice cafe on the roof where you can get stunning views of the harbour and old city
  • Great museum and deceptively large. It's over a few floors and has information, models and pictures covering a very large timespan as well as an education on the history of Estonia. Lovely roof terrace allows for great views across the city.
  • To be honest, I only came in here to get out of the rain! Lots of exhibits, but I wasn't very interested.
  • Amazing place to visit, especially for marines. In this place you will thing that for sure you have not seen in tour life !!
  • Good museum. Has interesting facts about the old city and a history of the tower in which the museum is placed. From the rooftop you can make a nice panoramic photo.
