There are several well preserved windmills, a few of which you can enter and see the workings. There are also various enclosures with animals that kids will like. The displays tell of the history of w...  more »

A very interesting site on the north side of the island. There are 4 Estonian ancient windmills and a larger one Dutch type. You can visit an Estonian mill with rotating blades and a Dutch contingent, which is much bigger and evolved. Estonian Mills, seemingly only rudimentary, are very interesting.

Fantastic building and nice old windmills, if you're into such a thing. Friendly staff. Just don't really get what's the point of the place. The restaurant-/exhibition building is gorgeous but it doesn't seem to be quite authentic!

This is a surprisingly nice place. It is basically an outdoor museum, but it also has a newly built house that has exhibitions of old machines, this is all decorated into a pleasing atmosphere, using sculptures, paintings and interior design like dolomite floorings etc. Everyone visiting Saaremaa should also visit the windmills.

It used to be very nice place, You could see them up close and go inside. But now you can only see them from far and if you want to see them up close you have to pay a ridiculous ticket money, after what there is a 98% chance to get rude note from the "lady" selling them. Must have a ticket even if you want to use the bathroom and pay extra for food. Best is to just take a picture from the parking lot and just drive on.
