Angla Tuulikumägi, Saaremaa
(3.9/5 based on 80+ reviews on the web)
Observe traditional craftmaking and learn about old-world flour production at Angla Tuulikumägi, a complex of preserved windmills. The village presents simple life at the dawn of the 20th century, including living history demonstrations of everyday chores. Throughout the property you'll see farmyards with animals, old tractors, and carriages scattered about. There are five wooden mills here; the largest one features a traditional Dutch-styled windmill. Hear stories from guides dressed in period clothing and visit a home with a typical countryside setting. Grab a coffee and browse through the souvenirs at the shop, which include antique handmade dolls. • Most Stolpkvarnar but also a "Dutch mill" and in it you could buy crafts and souvenirs from Saaremaa. Now, since some are back for a new cultural building below the mills, where the island's history is presented and it is now the entrance fee to visit the area!

  • It used to be very nice place, You could see them up close and go inside. But now you can only see them from far and if you want to see them up close you have to pay a ridiculous ticket money, after what there is a 98% chance to get rude note from the "lady" selling them. Must have a ticket even if you want to use the bathroom and pay extra for food. Best is to just take a picture from the parking lot and just drive on.
  • Wow, rude service. Do you have a menu? Go look its on the door. U came in inconvinient time. We are waiting for the customers😁 When they gave a food, only then informed that I have to go eat outside 😁 And it was windy +6. This place is unbelievable. Worst service in Estonia so far!
  • Nice place to visit. Good cafe and nice exposition to see.
  • Windmills in good condition, cheap entry fee, food was also OK.
  • Who in their right mind pay 13 euro to see a windmill?
