  • Big and beautiful Cathedral, a quiet and peaceful place. The architecture is reminiscent of the Bulgarian temples. Located among the houses and industrial buildings

  • Is the building of the Russia Orthodox Church located near the bus station. It is a Byzantine building built in 1896, in the second world war only unscathed and remained building. Could not put in is quite a church atmosphere.

  • What a wonderful building, worth a visit for sure if you are in Narva even if you aren't religious.
  • Big and spacious with ancient Orthodox Church icons. Interestingly, the candles are selling out. In the vast majority of Russian churches and temples for sale goes inside. That actually atata.

  • If this is your first time in Narva-worth visiting in one of the oldest buildings in the city. Laying of the temple was carried out August 5 1890 year. It was timed to the visit in Narva of Emperor Alexander III, who held official meeting here with German Emperor Wilhelm II. 17 November 1896 year in 8 a.m. held a water blessing, 9 hit Blagovest. Began the sanctification of the main altar, and then the entire Temple. Then the Archbishop of Riga and Jelgava Arsenius made the first new Church liturgy. Resurrection Cathedral was the only surviving Temple throughout the County, so it is quite understandable that the entire church utensils is met here. It seems to be the most interesting story of a large Crucifix, which is located on the left side of the Cathedral. It is executed in the tradition of the late Gothic e. Thiele. It is known that triumphant carved Crucifix to (German) Lutheran parish of St. John of Jerusalem was donated after the big fire of 1659 years (60 years). A life-size Christ hanging on the cross, there is also stamped plate with three ears. This was brought up in Estonia work hard wood sculptor Jelerta Tille, who worked mainly in Tallinn (pillory, etc.). Crucifix stood in the central part of the Transfiguration Cathedral. By some miracle it survived after the bombing in 1943-1944, while from the Cathedral there were only ruins. Shortly thereafter, the crucifix was moved to the Church of the resurrection.
