Santa Ana Cathedral, Santa Ana

(4.7/5 based on 70+ reviews on the web)
Sitting in the heart of Santa Ana, Santa Ana Cathedral boasts a neo-Gothic style not typical of cathedrals in the country. Built from 1906 to 1956, when the marble altar of the Virgin Mary was finally completed, the structure is almost completely comprised of red brick, except for its grand white facade, adorned with white ornate moldings. Two towers found either side of the face feature three bells. Step inside and find towering white and pink pillars and arches creating a sense of spaciousness in an already grand building. For travelers who use our world travel planner, Santa Ana Department holidays become easier to arrange, with trips to the Santa Ana Cathedral and other attractions mapped out and timetabled.

  • The Cathedral of Santa Ana is a true masterpiece of neo-Gothic architecture, its imposing columns, left the audience breathless, it has a Latin cross plant, the altar is a beauty, with two side altars to the Virgin Mary and another to the sacred heart of Jesus, mini altars in the aisles, has beautiful finishes and an impressive acoustic , a place of peace, a haven especially for meditation and prayer. its facade has a great beauty, with its gargoyles and detail, their campaigns are exquisite at noon, it is a place that is well worth visiting not just an once in a lifetime...

  • This is an interesting building because of the mixture of architectural styles that don't quite clash. As a place of worship it was tranquil but not spiritual and I really don't like their "electric" ...  more »
  • A beautiful church and I wouldn't call directly a cathedral but I have already seen many cathedrals all over the world like this one from Milan, Antwerp, Cologne, etc. .. This is specific to the latino world and for the Church are numerous stalls where locals and their goods. Near is also the beautiful town hall and a library or theater. The latter I have not been able to visit since the close on a Sunday.
