Showcasing some of El Salvador's most amazing volcanos, National Park Cerro Verde takes you on a dynamic nature experience along eco-trails, through lush dwarf forests, atop volcanoes, and by volcanic lakes. The national park includes two volcanos and a volcanic lake. Sitting at an altitude 2,025 m (6,670 ft), the volcano Cerro Verde invites you to walk through clouds as well as in and around its volcanic crater, following a hike through the forest. Known as the lighthouse of the Pacific, the park's second volcano, Santa Ana, rewards visitors with pristine views over a misty landscape including low-lying bush and forest. Coatepeque Lake, formed by the collapse of two volcanic cones, invites you to enjoy lunch by its picturesque tranquil shoreline.
