  • One of the most beautiful that I've met, it is in this Lake. It is huge and is the crater of a volcano, called of those apocalyptic, they believed that its eruption covered part of the Earth. We walk into this lake in a motorboat and it was a beautiful experience. There are houses on the shore of the Lake with its own piers and a club called Corinth, which is very nice.

  • The Lake of Ilopango, is itself a nice place by its nature and characteristics, however, this site presents sometimes little security which may represent a risk for foreign visitors, in addition there are a variety of places where they sell food but it shows little sanitary regulation. There is a national Spa but lacks sufficient for the visitor facilities; Surely there will be particular sites where to spend some time resting during the day (not at night), but it is recommended to make sure that it is private security service.

  • Lake Ilopango is characterized for its great beauty but for its history; in the year 536 ad Ilopango was a volcano and during activity volcanic cone flew and subsequently formed the Lake. Its last eruption was in 1880 and formed the island of the ducks and that is can visit during the boat trip. Lake for different activities, swimming, rowing, Sky, lacha, etc. There are walks in boat charged approximately $25 hour. The place has a variety of restaurants. The Lake is 20 minutes away from San Salvador in vehicle, and there are bus services to the site (Route 15), which is worth $0.20 cents of dollar and can be addressed in the Centre of San Salvador.
