Romero tended terminally ill people in the adjacent hospice and gave mass in the chapel.   • In the heart of the capital is filled with stories, memories and much to share hospital. The Chapel is beautiful and is kept in excellent condition, also can be visited which was blessed Romero-room home, there is much history in that place. A stop for those interested in the history of El Salvador.

  • For those who grew up in the 80's and are familiar with the story of Monsignor Romero the view this place is compulsory in place breathing peace despite the violence that once flooded it, which in turn has to do with an important milestone in Salvadoran history, peace prevailed over violence and won the war that had once been part of the history of this country at the entrance striking a worked on mosaic with various elements that somehow tell the story that there took place facing the wall mural is a sort of Museum in honor of Monsignor Romero this hospital chapel place where murdered Monsignor Romero is a daunting place and which breathe a history alive even in our minds impossible not remind you of the famous song by Rubén Blades 'father Antonio and his altar boy Andrew"who eternizara to Archbishop Romero

  • the hospital is in the midst of a beautiful garden surrounded by colourful vegetation. There the nuns are occupied expliicar which is its function and when was founded and its objectives. as also the strong role of Archbishop Romero in its construction and social project.

  • The chapel of the hospital de La Divina Providencia in colonia Miramonte of San Salvador is a site of great historical value, not only for Salvadorans, but also for many people in the world (believers or not) this site was martyred blessed Óscar Arnulfo Romero and Galdamez, a Monday, March 24, 1980 at approximately 6:30 pm , while officiating a mass and moments before the sacred rite. Archbishop Romero was killed shot in the heart made by a sniper from a car parked outside the chapel. Was 62 years.
