Gain a deeper understanding of the violent recent history of El Salvador at Centro Monsenor Romero, where a group of priests was brutally murdered. Not for the faint of heart, the exhibition is unflinching in its photographic portrayal of the violence. Set in the grounds of the university, the eye-opening exhibition gives you an appreciation of the terrible nature of oppression and war. As the information on display is primarily in Spanish, a guide is recommended for those who don't know the language. • A 'must-see' to understand the country's history and why the country is where it is currently. The museum, chapel, memorial and even the surrounding greenery is a wonderful tribute to a hero.
  • Working within the University, in a wooded place, this museum also depicts some of the bloody history of the country, where some of the events took place right there, with appalling records.
