One of the Wonders of the Ancient World, Great Pyramid of Cheops (Khufu) represents the largest and oldest of the three main pyramids at Giza. Construction on the pyramid began around 2580 BCE and lasted for around 20 years, with the structure probably intended to serve as the tomb of the pharaoh Khufu. Originally 146.5 m (480.6 ft) high, it stood as the tallest structure made by man for around 3,800 years, and its influence on art, architecture, and design has been incalculable. Tours of the pyramid include visits to the Queen's Chamber, the King's Chamber, and the Grand Gallery. With the interior very hot and cramped, many visitors choose to admire the pyramid from the outside. Inspirock's itinerary builder makes planning a Giza trip simple and quick.

Only go in the inner shaft if you are healthily and not claustrophobic. It is a long climb up hunched over in a small shaft with many other people. It gets hot and there is no air. Take water and candy. Not much to see at the top, but it’s still going into the center of the great pyramid of Giza and that’s just amazing!!

The pyramid of Khufu is considered the largest pyramid in Giza and is characterized by its precise geographical location within the latitude and longitude, and the pyramid of Khufu was classified as one of the Seven Wonders of the World. Who built the pyramid of Khufu? It is believed that a number of slave laborers built this great pyramid, their number may reach 20 thousand workers, with whom the construction took 20 years, and it was completed in the year 2560 BC, and that was during the reign of Pharaoh Khufu, where the goal of building the pyramid of Khufu was to be A place to keep weapons and jewels

Visit one of the 7th wonders of the world, you wont regret it. My only comment is to warn every one about going inside the largest pyramid. Once inside, you will have to climb and crawl up the tunnel to the top that leads to a room. The room had an empty coffin inside and no info about its significance. There were no hieroglyphics written on the wall as I expected and so the strenuous climb was for nothing-quite disappointing. Otherwise, the overall excursion was amazing! Quote from Nailah Cruz
