  • Works in this museum, as well as the brief demonstration in making papyrus were both excellent. Also, prices for the works seem to be fair. When I was there, they handed out jasmine tea in plastic cup...  more »
  • The papyrus is an ancient type of NIR which creates from the Cyperus plant, also called the papyrus plant that grows on the banks of rivers and streams such as the Nile River in Egypt. The height reaches up to approximately 5 meters. The papyrus paper is prepared from the Cyperus breed. It began in ancient Egypt during the first Dynasty. With it he wrote important events that occurred, battles, letters, etc. The museum demonstrate how the papyrus sheets are prepared on the walls. A large collection of paintings

  • 2 stars deducted for the unbelievable price tags. Make sure that you offer 1/10th of the sticker price.
  • Very expensive. Probably four times more expensive than it should be. Don be fooled by the fact that it is called a museum, the prices listed aren't the price that they want you to pay. They expect you to haggle and give you the hard sell. Personally I would have bought a lot more if the prices are honest upfront. I don't do this haggling rubbish. Give me your best price and I will either buy it or not.
  • In case you were not aware, this is a country of hagglers. never pay the sticker price. the acceptable price you can walk out the door with about half of what they put on the art. That said if they read this, it will be 1/4. Hagging is part of the country, but don't be a jerk. don't insult the art because it is very well done. And expert note, you can buy blank papyrus here. You will have to haggle for that too.
  • This is not a museum. It's a shop which sells overpriced paintings on papyrus to tourists. They have a demonstration of papyrus-making, which some tourists find interesting, but the real reason your guide or driver will bring you here is to get a commission for bringing you. And the real reason for the demonstration is to get you ready for a hard sell. They salespeople are happy to give you a discount, because even with a steel discount, you will still be paying far more than these items are worth.
  • Nice place for getting originals papyrus
