  • This church is very close to the Coptic Museum and I thought it was the much more interesting of the two. Not huge but it takes a while to look at all the artifacts, especially the relics of dozens...

  • The church has been built on the fortress of Babylon. Just before entering, at street level, there is a sign that says 'Roman tower'. I visited the church in the afternoon, and could see the Liturgy.....  more

  • This was quite a revelation for us knowing this is all associated with the plight of Hazrat Issa/Jesus. The church next door has the place where the holy family took refuge with a well they drank...

  • ..a popular tourist attraction in the heart of Cairo. It's many centuries old, there are many preserved Coptic orthodox historical items to see. The place is accessible by metro, and there high presence of security officers here to protect tourist and the monuments. Check this up when you are in Cairo.
  • Such a great visit! We had so much fun! It's very well organized! Can be reached by the Metro. There are several churches and a synagogue in the area, worth a visit!
