Cascada de San Rafael, Tena

(60+ reviews on the web)
Waterfall Nature / Park
Take a hike through lush green vegetation to a pristine view of Cascada de San Rafael. A torrent of water makes its way downstream, plunging off the overhang into a pool below. Standing at over 152 m (500 ft), the waterfall is surrounded by mountains of dense green forest, right at the foot of an active volcano. Keep an eye out for local wildlife: a family of monkeys has been known to cross the path leading to the waterfall. Use our Tena travel itinerary maker to add Cascada de San Rafael and other attractions to your Tena vacation plans.

  • Great amounts of water plummeting down. Good track 20min walk to falls. We stayed at the El revantador hosteleria just up the road. A good way to break up the trip back from Largo Agria.  more »
