  • It was not until Thursday, but the market is truly unique in Ecuador. Sierra and not animals. Fabrics of all types and even some artists he sells sculptures or paintings. Of course bargaining is the basis of sale and being European tourists or gringos discounts will be reduced. a must see.

  • This is one of the outstanding cultural experiences of my life. Find a way to see both the livestock market and the seemingly endless food markets. You never imagined that a pig had so many parts that...  more »
  • An exciting experience to see markets, where locals from the entire catchment area sells everything. And everything includes animals (chickens, llamas, pigs, cows, etc.), vegetables (every imaginable kind), craft/handicrafts (blankets, bags, jewelry, baskets, etc)-and in addition to everything you need in the daily household and in the operation of agriculture. We were there in april, when there were only very few tourists. Gives an excellent insight into life in Ecuador.
