Puerto Chino Beach, San Cristobal

4.8
#2 of 16 in Outdoors in San Cristobal
Make your way to the southeast of San Cristobal island to reach Puerto Chino Beach, a remote beach with a variety of winged and flippered inhabitants. The fine white sand offers plenty of space to stretch out, while the calm water makes the beach a popular place to go swimming. In the mangroves that lie just behind the sand, you'll see finches, who'll be very keen to share any snacks you might have. The rocky outcrops to the left and right of the sandy beach are home to sea lions, though you should definitely not share any snacks with them, as they become very territorial when approached or spooked. To plan Puerto Baquerizo Moreno vacation without wasting time, ask Inspirock to design an itinerary.

  • There are plenty of sea lions, but also a lot of Abu. Well into the sea will be hit in the face. Pretty stuck up on the beach. Who has been absent for almost didn't. The sea is relatively calm, but not fish. Not suitable for snorkeling. To Charter a taxi, turtle observations Centre, mountain and Beach (highland) was USD 60. It is not worth the bother to take the time. Anyway is rumored to Abu.

  • If someday I return to Galapagos, you acampare on this beach. You just have to ask for permission. It has an area of camping and barbeque grills. This all. And the sea a few meters.

  • A really nice and sunny beach with a ton of playful sea lions out and about. One star off for the 15 minute sweaty trek needed to take to get down to the beach.  more »

  • Chinese port is a beach that you can enjoy without pay hike but you have to go by taxi the same with the same trip they offer go to mount Reed (which is an inactive volcano that forms a lagoon) then take you to the Centre of terrestrial turtles breeding and Finally in Chinese port Beach, which they ask you if you want to stay and then going to search or await you. Charge you the same I was in March 2017 charged me $60.

  • Cosy beach of white sand, here was a pleasant close encounter with a frigate cooling in the breeze marina.

  • This site can be visited without Guide. It is about 25 kilometres from Puerto Baquerizo Moreno. Recommend a taxi and combine this visit in the following manner: 1. Laguna el Junco, 2. Galapaguera, 3. Chinese port, and 4. finish in La Loberia. This service can cost about $30. Chinese port despite having white sand and turquoise water is not a good place for snorkeling. The path of access to the beach is short but does not have enough leftovers. Bring water, sunscreen and hat.
