  • I was in San Cristobal in September 2017 onwards. Beach Puerto Chino is located in 30 kilometers from Puerto Baquerizo Moreno. I took a taxi to $50 for 5:00 for a trip to the Bay Puerto Chino with a visit to the Turtle Farm on the way Galapaguera de Cerro Colorado and Lake Laguna El Junco. On this farm of turtles living in natural conditions. The landscape is mountainous. Path is laid on the farm. You walk in and watch the life of the Galapagos tortoises. I liked it here. If you're staying in San Cristobal then I recommend to visit the farm.

  • Each island has its endemic species. You can see turtles of all sizes, even since they are babies and already older. Entry is free, isn't informative if you go without guides, even if you have signs.

  • Kids love to see the turtles and for adults is something cultural, know more of these species, their life cycle, feeding, learn more about how to protect them. They should come preferably the days that give them to eat (Monday Wednesday Friday) for you to see them but are somewhat hidden.

  • Giant tortoises are incredible creatures. Here, at Galapaguera, you can see them at all ages and sizes. The babies and young ones are sheltered and protected. The older ones roam freely; to be able to see them out-and-about in their natural habitat truly is a privilege.
  • OMG tortoises i went at feeding at was awesome.
  • If you're already visiting Galapagos, there's zero reason to miss this. It's not like a zoo of any kind, there are enclosures for the young tortoises, but the big fellas roam free and you get to see them in the open. No, you cannot ride them(or touch, or get too close) As with everything else in Galapagos, it's look but leave alone. They are huge, and the one thing you can touch and get into which really shows off their size, is an empty shell of a long since deceased tortoise.
  • The guide was good and you get to see the tortoises.
  • Great place to see giant land turtles and how the National Park tries to up their numbers. They even have a turtle egg you can hold (it's dead though).
