Cerro Brujo, San Cristobal
(4.7/5 based on 70+ reviews on the web)
Dramatic cliffs, tide pools, crystal clear waters, and soft white sand make Cerro Brujo among the top beaches of the Galapagos Islands. Swim and laze around on the sand with the local sea lions, or go snorkeling to view other marine life such as fish and red crabs. Take a boat ride to the cathedral cavern if the tide isn't too high. From the shore you can see the remarkable formation of Kicker Rock. Because of the relative lack of shade at the beach, be sure to bring sunscreen. • We went with the Tour to Leon Dormido, it is a very nice area, with a stunning beach of white sand lined with sea lions, snorkel is more difficult to be sand and low visibility.

  • We had a wet landing here and then walked through some lava rocks to a beautiful expanse of white sand. Sea lions frolicking in the water and resting on the sands. Loads of birds, totally unafraid of ...  more »
  • It is a beach paradise, populated by birds and sea lions normally wandering among the people. While we were in October, the water temperature was very nice. There is no shade, bring umbrella, water and plenty of sunscreen!
