Mitad del Mundo, San Antonio de Pichincha

(2,200+ reviews on the web)
History Museum
Stand between the Northern and Southern Hemispheres at Mitad del Mundo, marked by a compass-like monument erected to show the exact location of the Equator. Stand with one foot on either side of the line for a unique photo opportunity, and get your passport stamped to say you've visited the Earth's midpoint. Here's the thing, though--it's not the real Equator, as the park's designers missed it by about 250 m (820 ft). • The city mitad del mundo is spectacular I liked everything that I could visit, that if I comment that I joined at 16:00 and boxed not warned me that the main attractions closed at 17:00 that seemed to me a lack of respect since you pay 3 tickets to visit all the places of the city and stayed without seeing pictures of Guayasamín and the Planetarium please instruct the young ladies of the ticket to give a right to national service and foreigners have nothing nice attitude not greet nor answer the greeting, among other things, that leaves you with this sweet and sour taste to visit a place so wonderful like this... I hope in my next trip to see improvements in the attitude of these people...
