Five different trails of varying lengths and challenge levels ensure plenty of ways to access the biodiversity here, which includes 50 species of endemic Andean trees and wildlife such as foxes, deer, and mountain puma. Birdwatchers will find plenty to appreciate with over 100 avian species, many of them specific to Ecuadorian cloud forests. Bring a camera to capture the scenic backdrop of snowcapped mountains. Where to stay in Quito

Most visitors to Quito choose to stay in La Mariscal, a touristy neighborhood filled with guesthouses, restaurants, and bars. This area is also the town's nightlife hub, drawing a young crowd of revelers from around the world. If you prefer less noise, look for a bed in La Foresta, a quieter and less crowded alternative just a few blocks away from popular entertainment opportunities.
