Five different trails of varying lengths and challenge levels ensure plenty of ways to access the biodiversity here, which includes 50 species of endemic Andean trees and wildlife such as foxes, deer, and mountain puma. Birdwatchers will find plenty to appreciate with over 100 avian species, many of them specific to Ecuadorian cloud forests. Bring a camera to capture the scenic backdrop of snowcapped mountains. Note that getting to the site is best in a four-wheel-drive vehicle.
