  • I love markets. If you love markets, you'll probably love this one too! Fresh food abounds. Prepared food ready to tantalize your tastebuds. Flowers for sale. Even electronics, kitchen gadgets (includ...  more »
  • The market is always a good place to go and get a good sense of the local produce. Colours and smells of a very diverse country! See the fruit and vegetable section. You can bargain on the price. But ...  more »
  • You can buy good products at good prices. What I like visually is one of the walls is filled with fruits, is an image very beautiful and striking by its amount of diversity of fruits and colors. The hornado is the best I have eaten and I have to point out the juices that are made, especially the two posts that are at the beginning of the hornados area, the women who prepare them are very polite and sympathetic and as recommendation mora with coconut juice is unmatched. It is a market with plenty of life, whenever I step stopped to taste any of the products.

  • This market is lively and full of color. Going there is an unforgettable experience, enhanced by the food you can eat there. Don't go home without trying hornado, a bag of mote and a giant glass of fresh juice.
  • An awesome fruit market! It could be more clean but you can get anything you need
  • I think a great way to visit places and know more about the town is to visit local markets. This one offers local dishes and drinks in a friendly environment. And has a lot of fresh products woth a good quality as well
  • Sort of goods. Great facilities and food courts
  • One of the best markets in the core of the city. There are multiple food vendors who offer the best roasted pork around. fresh juices and smoothies are available for $1.50 which is amazing. The produce section has a fantastic selection and there are plenty of fruits and veggies to choose from.

Where to stay in Quito

Most visitors to Quito choose to stay in La Mariscal, a touristy neighborhood filled with guesthouses, restaurants, and bars. This area is also the town's nightlife hub, drawing a young crowd of revelers from around the world. If you prefer less noise, look for a bed in La Foresta, a quieter and less crowded alternative just a few blocks away from popular entertainment opportunities. For upscale sleeping options head to the old town, boasting many of Quito's top hotels in some of its prettiest buildings.
