Mariscal District, Quito
(2.2/5 based on 100+ reviews on the web)
Don’t miss the vibrant regeneration of Mariscal District, an area known for its dynamic nightlife and jovial atmosphere. With a largely changing populace of young fun-loving Ecuadorians and travelling backpackers, you'll feel the hedonistic vibe in the air. Even if you’re after something more laid back, the area’s variety should have you covered; live concerts, cultural centers, restaurants, and cafes offer something for everyone. Be aware that drinking alcohol on the streets is still not permitted, and the area's visible police presence exists mainly to enforce this. Make Mariscal District a centerpiece of your Quito vacation itinerary, and find what else is worth visiting using our Quito tour planner.

  • He transport in the area is very easy of take towards any part, is an area of streets quiet (except it surrounding to Foch in them nights them end of week), there are of all, restaurants, trade, drugstores, etc. It is comparable to areas as 93 in Bogotá, or the pink zones of major cities, only that my concept, it is much more quiet, Caminne several times in the night without any problems. The bad thing is that trade closes very early at night.

  • If you want to rub shoulders with Quito's more middle-class, this is the place to come and Plaza Foch is where everyone seems to congregate. Crowded, westernised, and a bit 'brandy,' it seems like a g...  more »
