La Ronda, Quito

(4.1/5 based on 1,900+ reviews on the web)
Day or night, stroll at a leisurely pace along La Ronda to appreciate the charms of Quito's old town. Curving its way through the city's historical quarter, the charming cobbled street typifies the Spanish colonial style of architecture. Look up above you at the colorful flowerboxes adorning many of the street's balconies, and appreciate the recent work that has restored the area to its former glory. During the day you can buy handicrafts from quaint souvenir shops, while at night you can join in the party at one of the street's many bars. Use our Quito itinerary planner to arrange your visit to La Ronda and other attractions in Quito.

  • Original river that supplied water to the residents of the city from the mountains. Now filled with shops and restaurants with many touts for the restaurants.  more »
  • It is an interesting place to visit, preferably in large groups and if possible with a guide. In the night, especially them Friday and purposes of week, there are parties to the dawn, with music in live and food, etc... but they like the noise, they can only go two streets that make up the round. Is a visit recommended... is can compare with the Plaza Garibaldi in the city of Mexico, only that here instead of Mariachis, are going to find music popular Ecuadorian.
