La Ronda, Quito

4.1
#7 of 183 in Things to do in Quito
Day or night, stroll at a leisurely pace along La Ronda to appreciate the charms of Quito's old town. Curving its way through the city's historical quarter, the charming cobbled street typifies the Spanish colonial style of architecture. Look up above you at the colorful flowerboxes adorning many of the street's balconies, and appreciate the recent work that has restored the area to its former glory. During the day you can buy handicrafts from quaint souvenir shops, while at night you can join in the party at one of the street's many bars. • In my opinion is a nice place, with its colonial decor and its many bars, discotheques and restaurants, one can say that it is a tourist place but it is rather an area of recreation for adults.

  • I recommend meeting in the evening on the day many premises are closed, the magic is night. There are several interesting, such as handicrafts, drinks traditional places, old crafts (spinning tops). A narrow street excellent to go with friends.

  • The restaurant in the round from this hostel, I know, is bad. The food is not the best quality, it is frozen and prices are too high for what is served. On the other hand, care is very good. Coincidentally, not you can pay with credit card, only cash.

  • The place is very nice, good, we had no towels or SOAP. The value of night at booking was not real, they were charged $11 other.

  • Absolutely perfect. The location of the hostel is ideal, in a busy tourist street right next to the main tourist attractions of the city, such as the independence square and the Church of Santo Domingo. The place is beautiful, above all the welcoming central courtyard. The food is not far behind, we tested excellent dishes of the Ecuador, accompanied by a good canelazo to combat the cold. Totally recommended
