  • We just happened upon a Yoko Ono exhibit at the Museo de Arte Moderno so participate we did. What a nice surprise.  more »
  • Not being art lovers we were dubious about visiting this attraction. But this artist has expressed himself in the most powerful artworks. Both with huge paintings, the construction of the building...  more »
  • Amazing building with fantastic views of the city. In June 2015 there were only two exhibits open but it was very interesting and worthwhile. The cafe is beautiful and looks worth stopping in for a...  more »

  • A hidden jewel in Quito... Do you like ghosts? There are a lot of stories and experiences of the museum staff and visitors... Spooky :)
  • Definitely worth a stop in Quito, but Uber here because the neighborhood isn’t great. The building is gorgeous, a beautifully rehabbed space that’s worth visiting for that alone. Heads up that most of the explanations are in Spanish, but the staff speaks English and can help explain each exhibit (and some pamphlets are bilingual). They have lockers to hold your things to which is nice!
  • When we visited they were switching between exhibitions so there was less to see. That being said, we really enjoyed our visit. The building is beautiful, the art on display was interesting, the staff were helpful and we were surprised to find out it was free! I'd definitely check it out again to see other exhibits.
  • FREE museum in a NOT so safe neighborhood in Quito. The space is enormous but only a few rooms are being used for art. When you check-in, you give your ID for a key to a locker, so you can store your things(backpack, water, sunglasses). I know the museum was FREE but I took a 30 minute UBER to see this place before it closed and was extremely underwhelmed. The good news is, Quito's most impressive church is only a 5 minute walk away. Pay the $2 to enter this church, it's also enormous.
  • The view is amazing but the museum is not really well maintained.
