  • It is a complete shame that such infrastructure this so wasted. It is a Palace of Crystal with poufs of colors to fill the dusty space. You miss the activities there were performed, both exhibitions ambitious Wilfrido Lam, the Lord of Zipan, and century, the trade fair that I organize El Comercio by its 100th anniversary... then fighting agenda to have quota on this site... and to multiple social events... If the culture has no funding from the Government has always sources to achieve this: charge tickets preferenicales, ask for voluntary donations, rented the site for festivities, and still allowing the quiteños can visit places with life and not more white elephants giving anguish for its waste... If this is a place of culture only displays desolation, abandonment, neglect and loneliness...

  • The route is especially relaxing, you get lost in the immensity of nature, paths, flowers and birds that travel freely to her around. The Centre cultural especially is very welcoming, of easy access, with exhibitions permanent. Ideal in the day or at night, impressive view of the historic centre.

  • Super nice place for taking pictures of the city and the surroundings of Quito. Also the walk up there is through a pintoresque part of the city. Not sure about the activities of he centre given I arrived after business hours
  • This is a park overlooking the city, has great views and ample space for activities. The glass place is magnificent and a great place to have lunch. If you feel like it bring a picnic basket and enjoy the sun. Great place for weekends with the family
  • Open green areas, safe, modern, cultural events on a regular basis, easy to get there, great for a BBQ day
  • Beautiful place to see sunset over Quito or night lights. The Crystal Palace is only open for specific events. Only Pimms cafeteria operates in the area.
  • Beautiful views and nicely maintained trails for running

Where to stay in Quito

Most visitors to Quito choose to stay in La Mariscal, a touristy neighborhood filled with guesthouses, restaurants, and bars. This area is also the town's nightlife hub, drawing a young crowd of revelers from around the world. If you prefer less noise, look for a bed in La Foresta, a quieter and less crowded alternative just a few blocks away from popular entertainment opportunities. For upscale sleeping options head to the old town, boasting many of Quito's top hotels in some of its prettiest buildings.
