Avenida Amazonas, Quito

(2.4/5 based on 70 reviews on the web)
Avenida Amazonas serves as one of the most important traffic arteries in the city, connecting its tourist and commercial centers. The 7.7 km (4.1 mi) long street is lined by hotels, shops, restaurants, and vendors selling souvenirs. It stretches from the city’s bicentennial park in the north to the Circassian Gate in the south. Walk along the street to get a feel for the area's culture; watch for a perfectly reconstructed 1920s building as you walk. • No more. A normal street with shops and stores selling Chinese products. I was staying at the hotel Reina Isabel, on this same street. I turned this street once and I don't think it's worth it as a tourist spot. Quito has much more beautiful and exotic places.
