Avenida Amazonas, Quito

Categories: Landmarks, Tourist Spots
Inspirock Rating:
2.5/5 based on 65+ reviews on the web
Avenida Amazonas serves as one of the most important traffic arteries in the city, connecting its tourist and commercial centers. The 7.7 km (4.1 mi) long street is lined by hotels, shops, restaurants, and vendors selling souvenirs. It stretches from the city’s bicentennial park in the north to the Circassian Gate in the south. Walk along the street to get a feel for the area's culture; watch for a perfectly reconstructed 1920s building as you walk.
