Las Tintoreras, Puerto Villamil

(4.4/5 based on 600+ reviews on the web)
Get in touch with the local aquaculture population with a visit to the islet of Las Tintoreras. The turquoise waters of the bay are sheltered, providing a perfect spot for sea lions, sea turtles, marine iguanas, stingrays, and reef sharks to hang around. At low tide, the bay is connected to a small shallow pool of clear water, where you can get an up-close look at the sharks. Survey the marine life from a lava deck above, or grab your snorkel and jump right in. To visit Las Tintoreras on your trip to Puerto Villamil, use our Puerto Villamil trip itinerary maker.

  • It is a place incredible, only where you can observe penguins, sharks, also that snorkeling can be, here you swim with turtles and also sea lions. It can only be accessed on tour, be sure that the Agency with which you work with good guides, Penguin is a good choice for this trip

  • Cute ride and economic, hard between 3 and 4 hours and will see sharks resting for subsequently do snorkeling in a part with much life marina. If this 1 day in Isabela but I recommend you go for the tour of the tunnels, which is more complete.

  • We went on a tour and we were able to see penguins, sea lions, stingrays, sea turtles, lots of iguanas in nesting season and sharks dyers. Shame that when had to do snorkeling, we told him had spoken in the Agency so that we guiasen because our experience was poor (and the Guide) and this is wash my hands said I had many people in charge and that us quedasemos on the shore, and she went with some people if they knew doing so. At the Agency we had ensured that the guide was going to help us but it was not so. And had chosen that agency because we had read good references, but the truth that the guide that us put not you care that part of the group not could perform that experience
