Concha de Perla, Puerto Villamil

(4.4/5 based on 550+ reviews on the web)
Get up close and personal with marine life when you snorkel at Concha de Perla. Cross over a wooden bridge through a mangrove forest, keeping an eye open for iguanas and other land animals as you approach the lagoon. A large rock formation in front of the lagoon keeps the waters here especially calm, making this area great for children and those new to snorkeling. The clear water makes it easy to see the marine life such as sea lions, sharks, many types of fish, turtles, and more. • Did you ever dream of THE perfect place for a tropical snorkeling outing? This is it. I will be blogging about this my website. The place is set at the end of a long wooden walkway and deck area, amid...  more »
  • There's not a hell of a lot to see here and nowhere to relax. Just a small deck to leave your stuff. It's a good place to practice snorkeling and get comfortable with your gear before doing a day tour...  more »
  • This is a nice place but not a must see. It's interesting snorkeling in the mangrove area, while snorkeling saw a penguin, sea lions and marine iguanas. The diversity of fish species is not impressive...  more »

  • Concha de Perla is a lovely little spot close to town for a swim and a snorkel - it's not the best, you'll only see a few fish and possibly turtles, but with the proximity to town it's great if you just fancy a swim and a cool off. Of course, it also costs nothing, so that's good!!
  • This is a good free place. A boardwalk brings you down to the ocean where you will likely step over iguanas and seals. You can snorkel in the water but I'd highly recommend having a body suit as it's cold.
  • Great to cool down on a hot day, nice walk through the trees to get there.
  • a little nice place for snorkeling not much more
  • Fantastic
