  • We were also this facility to Santa Cruz! Much on signs here declared, both in English and in Spanish. There are many turtles - after old h spread - very interessant-au the road here is very nice! Just turn right after the hotel iguana crossing and which path to follow! Don't forget the camera! Toilets available.

  • The centre no doubt fulfills a very valuable role in conserving the numbers of giant tortoise on the island and judging by the numbers seen in the centre, they are clearly very successful. However as ...  more »
  • Very good walk through the beauty of the place and the observation that you can perform on the work carried out to preserve the species of Galapagos turtles!

  • I walked here from the main town. It's about a 40 minute walk through the boardwalk. The centre isn't too big and filled with baby and adult tortoises. I got to see 2 young tortoises fight which was very cute. It's free so good for a cheap morning or afternoon.
  • Liked the San Cristóbal Galapaguera better, but it was great to see the giant turtles again. The way to the place is incredible though, flamingos and lava lizards all the way through.
  • Lots of important work being done here. A bit sad to see some of the last tortoise of their kind in enclosures but hopefully this is only temporary until the populations can rebound.
  • In this place you can learn a lot about how human interaction is affecting the population of the different species of giant tortoises in the Galapagos Islands and what the National Park is doing to prevent the extinction of this amazing animals
  • Good place to spend a short amount of time, interesting and fun to watch how turtles grow.
