  • The entrance to the Park costs (for foreigners) $3. Therein are a 90 minute guided tour of the Park and the museums included. The leadership was AVI, but not outstanding. You can watch several pyramids from the outside, as well as the great Lunar and solar calendar on one of the pyramid. The pyramid was uncovered in one place, so that you can see the design. Especially the many lamas on the grounds were funny. There is actually also a Caffetteria in addition to the Park, which was however closed with the comment 'The woman the drink sold didn't come today'... Ääähm, Yes. Arrival: Arrival without your own car is a little tedious. We came out from Quito. From there, you have two options. (1) the bus up to the Terminal Ofelia and there the bus takes to Malchingui. He drives but only once every 1.5 hours I think 7.30, 9.00, 10.30 etc. By Malchingui should you then go to the pyramids or possibly take a taxi (ca. 7km). (2) take the bus up to the Terminal Carcelen. There take off then a bus going in the direction of Otavalo and that rise at the second toll (Peaje Cochasqui). From there you must then run to the Park (7 km) or if you're lucky a driver takes one. There are apparently also jeeps, but I know not when, and how often they drive. We had to the run high from the toll around 1.5 hours to the Park

  • This site has not been excavated or studied very much yet, but it is very interesting. The tour guide was great and the museum has a lot of artifacts that have been found on site.  more »

  • Well worth a visit, not the easiest place to get to but the effort is worth it. Excellent guided tour, stupendous views.
  • Excellent camping and refocusing of guides in the ruins. Excellent the State of them facilities, the Sr Edwin and his team are prepared to treat to them visitors of the area of camping of way cordial and friendly, atrncion very family that you invites to visit them again. You have exceeded my expectations. With regard to them ruins the attention of Jenny this very good, but I seems that the information that lend should be focused in the life of them Quitucara instead of them archaeologists, me seems more interesting that theme
