Sense the history of Guayaquil's oldest residential neighborhood, which also stands out as the only part of the city not to have been burnt down at some point. You'll feel like you're in a painting as you stop for a coffee at one of the bright houses, many of which have been converted into cafes or bars. With our online itinerary creator, Guayaquil attractions like Las Penas can be center stage of your vacation plans, and you can find out about other attractions like it, unlike it, near it, and miles away.

  • Very nice place, with security, many people of the place and visitors, looking for fun inside the premises and outside, very friendly people.

  • Watch the Summit closes at 17:00. Located all end of the Malecon 2000, it is a great place well-secured (presence of guards along the ascent) count 400 steps but worth the effort! We went there late in the day so we had the chance to see a beautiful sunset over the city. Possibility to stop during the decent in various small restaurants/shops.

  • At the end of the Boardwalk will be found with a sign that says "Welcome to the neighborhood penalties". It was declared cultural patrimony of the Ecuador for its colonial-style houses where Ernest Hemingway and "Che" Guevara passed among other recognized people. To get to the lighthouse must be 444 stair climbing and from there you can see beautiful views of the city.
