  • When you enter the Museum, you will be prompted first of all, to register. I did not have my passport, but was not a problem. There were a few exhibitions by local artists, because of them I but had not come on ground floor. Interesting for me was on the first floor, where the different cultures of the inhabitants of Ecuador were presented. Here, classes and individual groups with Spanish talks were conducted. Bad luck, if one speaks Spanish only muy pokutissimo. Fortunately were in addition to the Spanish plates, most English translations that explain the background one essentially. As a highlight, there to see typical shrunken heads of the Shuar. About why and how, is not much but tells. In about an hour, I was then, and set out to explore the other floors. I was then in the basement, where there was to visit an exhibition on the monetary history of Ecuador. Especially the notes before switching to the US dollar are very impressive. Incredibly (but true), that designs 100,000 and prints! What had probably cost? And that was not the smallest license. A large locked off stock that could fill many museums throughout the world, but was then not in another room (stowed in shelves) simply locked away was.

  • This is a free museum which is nice but I got to say none of the displays really grabbed me. It gives information on various ethnic groups and their history. If that interests you you'll probably enjoy it a lot.
  • Nice place to visit with friends and eat some Belgium waffles.
  • fasinating of the unknown
  • Beautiful
  • The Museum has many stories and back has a great Park of the ruins of the Incas. There is a small very nice Zoo also. It is very nice to spend the day and is free.
