  • The number and type of objects in this museum is truly impressive. I saw some types of archaeological objects I've seen no where else. It could use more or clearer explanation of what you are seeing. ...  more »
  • Seniors' discount available. Attractive building. Really too many examples of the same things - became overwhelming to see & read everything. English guide & placards. Lovely gift shop. Good banos!

  • You might miss this small museum from the street, but it's worth a look. It cost $3 or $4 to go through, and they have an interesting collection of indigenous pottery and tools. There is also a manuscript room on site that would be useful if you are interested in cultural research. The pieces are predominately Ecuadorian, and range in eras from various regions and cultures of the country. They provide a limited, but helpful exhibit guide, available in several languages. Theres a nice gift shop and small cafe on the site as well.
  • What a beautiful place! The only museum I would enjoy visiting again. The owner is a beautiful and charming lady, which adds to the charm of the place. I fell in love with a painting in that museum!!! :)
  • Excelente colección de piezas de las culturas precolombinas, de las culturas Valdivia, Machalilla Tolita y Chorrera, entre varias otras. Muestra muchos aspectos de la vida diaria de entonces.
  • Lindo pero pequeño
  • Extrordinary collection of lithic, ceramic and metal artifacts from precolombian cultures. Friendly staff and interesting gift shop. Well worth your time and a very small admission fee.
