Las Piscinas de la Virgen, Banos

(2.6/5 based on 300+ reviews on the web)
Soak your worries away at Las Piscinas de la Virgen, a hot pool complex that uses water heated naturally by nearby thermal springs. Built in 1928, the pools take their name from a local legend, which says that the Virgin Mary once dipped her foot in the hot water. You can bathe in outdoor pools of various temperatures, while you admire the large waterfall just behind the complex. However, you should prepare for crowds and potentially subpar cleanliness standards. Swimming caps are required to enter the pools; bring your own or rent one on site. • A cascade of water pure and beautiful nature... If you go to the bathroom you can not miss it... I recommend travel in comfortable clothes and canvas shoes

  • Pleasant experience. Costs only $3 and you can take advantage of the pools with hot water and less. There are also showers with very cold water. Could have been handled better (cleaner) very impressive at night with the lights that illuminate the waterfall outside. Better during the week, because there were few people, mainly tourists.
