Casa Del Arbol, Banos

(4.4/5 based on 500+ reviews on the web)
Swing out over a deep valley when you visit Casa Del Arbol. The tree house stands on the side of a mountain overlooking nearby peaks and the valley below. Visitors can ride the swing, which hangs off the tree house and swings over the valley. A fastener keeps you safe when riding, so even children can ride safely. The area makes for great pictures, the best of which can be taken when the sun is high. Add Casa Del Arbol and other attractions to your Banos trip itinerary using our Banos family vacation planner.

  • A long time ago that I had heard good reviews of this place, certainly were right, site has a beautiful view, hop on the swing experience is unforgettable, personally I'm terror such activities by the vertigo that you feel when the person who is there gives you the push to swing, I still did it like 3 times to have a souvenir photo. Definitely for who enjoy these activities this is the place perfect. Access from baths is simple you can take a tour that costs 5 dollars, includes roundtrip transportation from bathrooms, or the other option is to go by your account in own car because the track is in very good condition, even a car can get. The entrance costs 1 dollar and 1 dollar parking if you go in your vehicle, you have to take into account is that row for this swing should be and this can take a wait of 1 hour approximately because each person swinging it as 10 ten times, but ultimately worthwhile, is a very good experience.

  • Staying in Quito, my friend and I hired private transport to get Banos, which took around 3hrs. You can make it an all day event with all the hiking, swimming, and ziplining along the way. Depending o...  more »
  • For me this was the most special site of all Ecuador. At first scary ride to the hammock, but the swing second fear gives way to the surprise to open your eyes and see your own feet and under anything, only trees very down. Yes well there is nothing more than this bus takes half an hour, we were early and then we enjoyed the rest of the day in other rides. Is a place to which is worth it penalty go, and return. He would return to Ecuador by a thousand different reasons, but it would also return only by this place.

  • Awesome idea to get a great view of the valley. The bus to bring you there costs only 1$ and the entrance costs 1$ as well. You can hop on the swing and get amazing picture taken or go on a bit smaller one just to enjoy the view. It is something you can't miss when you go to Baños!
  • You probably see a million photos of people on the swing before you head here. I hiked up and the weather turned so I got rather soaked unfortunately. You can also get a local bus from town and or get 1 of the tourist buses up. It's $1 to get in. It's not that big a place. There are a few lookout towers, mini ziplines and of course a few swings. It looks more dangerous it is. Unfortunately it was totally cloudy so I didn't get any views of the valley but I believe the views are very nice if you are lucky.
  • Great views, everything seems safe enough and it is outstandingly fun. If you go early in the morning you'll miss the lines. Prices are super low. It's indeed a great place to visit and enjoy.
  • An amazing place to visit when you go to Baños de agua santa. In this place you can take an amazing picture in the end of the world.
  • A must see in Banos. 45 minute bus ride for 1 dollar. Well worth it!
