  • There are quite many attractions in Santo Domingo's Colonial Zone that are under-visited but infinitely more worthwhile to visit than El Conde - and this Museum of Resistance is one of those places. T...  more »
  • While well presented, and with excellent audio tour included in the ticket, this is just a bit too much for the usual tourist to absorb or appreciate.  more »

  • A marvelous modern museum! This is a center for Dominican culture and nationalism, with events every week and frequent new special exhibits. If you read Spanish you can learn reams about the DR's 20th century history. Even without Spanish, there's a lot to see, including the reconstructed basement torture chamber of Generalissimo Trujillo.
  • If you want to learn about contemporary Dominican history and how the resistance shaped it, this is the place to go. It takes time, it's like going through a history book, but it's worth your time.
  • Great experience, I recommend visiting it to know more about Dominican history of resistence. It has a lot of details of Trujillo's era, memorabilia and cool antics (such as a talking wax figure of Manolo Tavarez).
  • Great place to learn about Dominican people and their culture. Is a history place.
  • Must!!! Great place to learn about the Dominicans fight for freedom.
