  • Fray Antón de Montesinos was one of the defenders of our indigenous to the Spanish in Hispaniola Island invasion (as we called) the monument this abandoned... the last time I went it was very dirty and does not have a good attraction to contemplate it, only from afar. For me, there would be a visit that do not spend more than 20 minutes.

  • When we see this monument recall the history of Christopher Columbus, when I get to the island, is good to visit these monument to meet with our history. I would like to add that we must take care of it more.

  • East in very bad state facilities is abandoned, I do not recommend to visit these facilities for now until the Government restored it with newly. The monument to Fray Antón de Montesinos, built in 1982, one of the most colorful of the Malecon of Santo Domingo, 27 years later is damaged and abandoned. The lack of maintenance, lighting and surveillance has contributed to convert it from a center of recreation to a focus of pollution, den of pigeons, consumers of drugs and holedores of cement. Abandonment and neglect by the authorities of that monument is at odds with the then-fighter and defender of human rights. In his advent sermon points out: tell me with what right and with which justice you have in so cruel and horrible servitude Indian aquestos?.

  • Nice place! Skatepark right in front! Be careful of the mugglers!
  • i have been robbed there by a gun to my head DONT VISIT this place!!
  • It is a memorial to recognition of the human value, often trampled by the strongest. We regret the deterioration which is subject, as a joke to the same monument.

  • I give it 4 stars because it's the kind of sites that I like, but falling the night feels that it can become dangerous. It is very desolate.
