Boca Chica, Santo Domingo

(1.6/5 based on 800+ reviews on the web)
Head down to the southern coast of Hispaniola to find Boca Chica, a popular beach with amenities and natural charm. Take a stroll on the soft white sand before picking your spot along the wide beach, trying out a new beach sport, or simply lying back with a good book. The beach gains protection from a coral reef, meaning that the water remains calm and shallow. These conditions make the beach very popular with families looking for a safe place for young kids to swim. Lining the beach, along with the palms, you'll find plenty of local businesses, including beach resorts, restaurants, and hotels. • We visited this place in the hands of our friend Junior who works doing tours and it was that took us to get to know it is not a tourist destination. The place to get is half complicated by the amount of cars bikes and pedestrians since attending the Dominican people in large numbers to spend the weekend week. Many fish to step stalls there are many typical bars in the area and much but much loud music everywhere. I recommend not to go alone always go with a guide it is not very safe. The beautiful water seems a pool without waves quasi Crystal where you can move almost 400 meters carrying the same depth (height of the knees) at end is recommended but accompanied.

  • Great evening, sick crazy Greek restaurant. Besides it's a guy in MTL the owner. The grills are excellent... There is also the real Italian ice cream. Lively and safe evening stroll.
