  • town of Samana is located in the southern part of the peninsula along the Bay of Samana. This is a popular base for tourists who plan to participate in the tours of observation of whales or trips to Cayo levantado. The boardwalk in Samaná, or strip of beach, is the center of activity in the cafes and small shops in the open air. Samana is highly populated by American descendants of slaves American released. This is the reason why this city is host to a number of annual festivals of the harvest, a tradition that dates back to the festivals of sweet potato and rice in West Africa. These vivid events are held on Fridays at the end of August until the end of October in the churches of Samana.

  • Amazing Place to visit...eventhough I did not visit the Baccardi Island. Friendly people and a crowdy center where you would find anything you like to buy or to eat. Specially the colored painted house at the beachroad are a perfect motive. Well worth a visit!
  • Beautiful place, dont forget taking photos in "Las Casitas"
  • Beautiful Beach, nice park, beautiful colorful houses but a lot of trash in the water, really sad to see that in an amazing area.
  • Simplemente hermoso!
  • Good place to take a walk in. Very sunny with a couple of local food places nearby.
