Gri Gri Lagoon, Rio San Juan

(4.1/5 based on 140+ reviews on the web)
Spend some time in picturesque environs at Gri Gri Lagoon. A number of boat tours here will take you through scenic mangrove channels. Once the main attraction in Rio San Juan, the lagoon has suffered from years of overuse and pollution. For that reason, swimming is not recommended in the waters. If you'd rather skip the boat tour, a path from the nearest hotel along the shore will lead the way. • We reach the laguna at 4 in the afternoon, we made the trip. We toured the lagoon by boat and we enjoyed the beautiful mangroves and the diversity of birds that live in the vicinity of the mangroves, toured Caletón Beach and a beautiful cave with a turquoise blue water. Back, as the Sun has almost was hiding, the birds began to settle in the mangroves, that made it possible that we could see them more closely. The cost of the boat was RD $ 500.00 pesos per couple (got that price 1. because it was the last tour of the day and 2. because we were a group of 18 people (children and adults).)
