Playa Ensenada, Punta Rucia

3.6
#9 of 10 in Beaches in Puerto Plata Province
Lay back and relax in the crystal clear waters at Playa Ensenada. The beach is popular with the locals who come to enjoy the warm, shallow water. Move over to the western end of the beach for a more tranquil experience and less-crowded sands with a mountain backdrop. Alternatively, the eastern section of the beach offers a livelier experience, with shacks selling food and visitors enjoying rum cocktails. • The beach is spectacular but dirty muuuuuuuuy sad gave me when we were walking through the area... trash everywhere...... go one way to live in a pigsty... no wonder that increasingly have more beaches private... There is no respect for the nature of ning a type... bottles... glasses and plates of foam and plastic everywhere... just missed finding toilet paper used in the middle of the beach... shame... gentlemen! They are civilized... take care of your environment... Beach Cove is beautiful but if the thing still getting so little hope... has many positions of beach without order... music all giving no respect to anyone... really... If you go down the area on weekend only will find waste and disorder... probably during the week may be more interesting... but what I saw was to cry...

  • This beach is very beautiful, but one of the best things you can do from here is to take a tour to Cayo Arena. It is a beautiful Cay where you can snorkel and observe many small fish. Cheaper if you go with a larger group. The tour is not only the key, take you to a natural pool and give you a walk through the mangroves ceranos Super cute and recommended for family trips! After the tour is lunch divine in the cottages that are side by side. The number 7 has excellent fish and Octopus.

  • A buana option for the adventurer, although I recommend you take the path of entry from Santiago or Puerto Plata highway is paved unlike if you do from Villa Elisa, Montecristi
